Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026. Applies to the DeclareKit website and early-access waitlist.

This policy explains what we collect when you visit declarekit.com or join the DeclareKit waitlist, and how we use it. DeclareKit is a Shopify app in development. A separate privacy policy will cover the app itself when it launches.

What we collect

• Information you submit: your email address, and optionally your store URL, catalog size, where you ship, and anything you write about your customs challenges.
• Consent record: the date and time you agreed to receive early-access emails.
• Approximate country: a two-letter country code provided by our hosting provider (Cloudflare) when you submit the form. We do not store your IP address with your waitlist entry.
• Technical data: our hosting provider may process standard request logs (IP address, browser type) to deliver and secure the site. We don't use advertising cookies or third-party trackers on this site.

How we use it

• To email you about DeclareKit early access, launch news and occasional product questions.
• To understand what merchants need (for example, typical catalog sizes) so we build the right product.

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing.

Service providers

The site and waitlist database are hosted on Cloudflare (Cloudflare Pages and D1). If we later use an email-sending service to contact the waitlist, it will process your email address only to deliver our messages.

Retention and your choices

We keep waitlist entries until DeclareKit launches and for up to 24 months afterward, or until you ask us to delete them. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe option. To access, correct or delete your information, email [email protected] and we'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU, UK or California), you may have additional rights, and we will honor valid requests.

Security

Data is stored with Cloudflare and access is restricted to the DeclareKit team. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Children

The waitlist is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy and will change the "last updated" date when we do. Significant changes will be emailed to the waitlist.
